Softball Recap: Ukiah Wins Going Away Against Healdsburg

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Ukiah and Healdsburg, and Ukiah kept the tradition alive. The Wildcats blew past the Greyhounds 11-1 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Zoey Brown, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Adyson Baarsch, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Brown wasn't the only one making solid contact: Ukiah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Ukiah's win bumped their record up to 4-6-1. As for Healdsburg, they dropped their record down to 6-4 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ukiah wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-4 victory against Santa Rosa on the 10th. As for Healdsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 17-3 win against Elsie Allen on the 10th.
