Baseball Recap: Mountain View Comes Up Short

If Mountain View was feeling good fresh off their 19-9 takedown of Bergman on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets came up short against the Melbourne Bearkatz on Wednesday, falling 17-9. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bearkatz this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-4 defeat last Thursday.

Mountain View has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Melbourne, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6.

Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Melbourne, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-5 defeat against Valley Springs on the 30th.
