Basketball Recap: Conneaut Area Takes a Loss

Conneaut Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 76-54 to the Fort LeBoeuf Bison. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bison this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-65 back in January.

Fort LeBoeuf's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hunter Villa, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 18 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Carson Papay, who posted 20 points and three steals.

Conneaut Area's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Conneaut Area didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-60 loss against Warren on the 11th. As for Fort LeBoeuf, they have also already played their next contest, a 66-33 win against Seneca on the 11th.
