Football Preview: Osceola Seminoles vs. Hoxie Mustangs
Osceola and Hoxie are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. After each having a week off, both will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Osceola will be strutting in after a win while Hoxie will be coming in after a defeat.
Osceola will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any points on September 6th, then bounced right back against Gosnell two weeks ago. Osceola strolled past Gosnell with points to spare, taking the game 31-12.
Tyler Bell had a dynamite game for Osceola, throwing for 199 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown. The victory got Osceola back to even at 1-1. As for Hoxie, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.
Osceola suffered a grim 35-14 defeat to Hoxie in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Thankfully for Osceola, Kayden Glenn (who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 99 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
