Basketball Recap: Morrill's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Morrill extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Ashwin Pittman. The Morrill Lions walked away with a 44-36 victory over the Hemingford Bobcats on Friday thanks in part to Pittman, who went 9 for 16 en route to 27 points along with seven boards and five blocks. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Morrill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Hemingford, they moved to 7-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Morrill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-51 win against Hay Springs on the 25th. As for Hemingford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-44 victory against Crawford on the 25th.
