Volleyball Game Preview: Lewis-Palmer Rangers vs. Grandview Wolves

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers will be taking part in a tournament against the Grandview Wolves at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Lewis-Palmer is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Lewis-Palmer is returning to their home court after beating Cheyenne Mountain on theirs, despite the fact Cheyenne Mountain has dominated at home this season. The Rangers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Red-Tailed Hawks on Thursday.

Lewis-Palmer had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 26-24.

Olivia Ivall and Ariana O'Connor were among the main playmakers for Lewis-Palmer as the former had six digs and three aces and the latter had 22 digs and ten kills. Those 22 digs gave O'Connor a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cady Knight, who had 21 digs.

Meanwhile, Grandview was able to grind out a solid victory over Smoky Hill on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Grandview walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-13.

Grandview's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Lewis-Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
