Basketball Recap: Ball Tornadoes vs. Angleton Wildcats
While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, Ball was not quite Angleton's equal in the second half on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 60-45 to the Angleton Wildcats. The Tornadoes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 76-71.
Angleton found their leader in freshman Bryson Campbell, who went 10 of 17 on his way to 24 points. Braydon Campbell was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.
Ball's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Angleton, they pushed their record up to 18-16 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Looking ahead, Ball will challenge Iowa Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Iowa Colony knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Ball likes a good challenge. As for Angleton, they will square off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Angleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.4 points per game this season.
