Basketball Recap: Julianna Antopia Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat John F. Kennedy

Somerset won the last time they faced John F. Kennedy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockets, sneaking past 58-55.

Somerset got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Julianna Antopia out in front who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Antopia a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Hernandez, who earned 15 points and eight boards.

Somerset was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Several Rockets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nyleah Lopez, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds. Alexis De La Fuente also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
