Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask John Paul II). They were the clear victors by a 21-11 margin over the Incarnate Word Academy Angels on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

The win made it two in a row for John Paul II and bumps their season record up to 4-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. John Paul II is set to square off against their familiar foe Holy Cross at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Incarnate Word Academy will take on rival New Braunfels Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
