Baseball Recap: Meridian Takes a Loss

Meridian lost against Oak Harbor back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans fell 8-3 to the Wildcats.

Meridian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Oak Harbor, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Meridian is set to face off against their familiar foe Mount Vernon at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.9, the Bulldogs 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Oak Harbor will take on rival Mt. Baker at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
