Volleyball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Oakwood Lumberjacks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mohawks of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-20, 25-3.

Madi Harden paced Madison's offense, picking up five kills. Harden got some help from Skylar Erschwender and her six assists.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Oakwood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Madison will face off against rival Waynesville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Oakwood is set to challenge their familiar foe Valley View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
