Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alhambra). They took down the Central Bobcats 52-36 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Alhambra's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ixchel Aleman Saldivar, who posted 16 points. That's the most points Aleman Saldivar has posted since back in December of 2024. Jessenya Ponciano Medina was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Alhambra's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15. As for Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Alhambra will head out to square off against Metro Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Metro Tech has lost six straight at home , while Alhambra has lost four on the road. Central has already played their next game, a 76-32 defeat against Sunrise Mountain on the 31st.
