Flag Football Game Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Valhalla Norsemen

The Olympian Eagles will challenge the Valhalla Norsemen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Olympian hasn't scored more than 12 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Olympian took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They came out on top against Eastlake by a score of 12-7 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

The critical scores for Olympian came from Andrea Villarreal Enciso and Aubrey Tibayan.

Olympian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mya Vasquez and Camaya Rogers. Vasquez has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times she's played. Jasmine Bartels was another major factor on D, making 16 total tackles and defending five passes.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Valhalla rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 20-19 photo finish over the Pirates. Winning may never get old, but the Norsemen sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Olympian's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Valhalla, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10-1.
