Basketball Recap: Morris Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Morris can now relate to. They took a blow against the Crooked Oak Ruf-Nex on Saturday, falling 82-41. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Ruf-Nex are ranked 18th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crooked Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamel Morris, who en route to 20 points and five boards. The matchup was Morris' fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Elijah Garcia was another key player, to rack up 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Morris and nudges their season record down to 9-16. As for Crooked Oak, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.

As of now, neither Morris nor Crooked Oak have any future games scheduled.
