Basketball Recap: Berea-Midpark Skates Past Midview with Ease

Berea-Midpark had lost four games at home dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 4-2 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They claimed a resounding 84-56 win over the Midview Middies. The Titans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Midview, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while Berea-Midpark is ranked 98th).

Several Middies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier Young, who went 12-for-21 on his way to 27 points and five rebounds. Luke Jockel was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine boards.
