Basketball Game Preview: Bradwell Institute Tigers vs. Woodward Academy War Eagles

The Bradwell Institute Tigers will square off against the Woodward Academy War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Bradwell Institute sitting on four straight wins and Woodward Academy on 16.

Bradwell Institute is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 52-42 victory over Lee County.

Bradwell Institute can attribute much of their success to Ja'Nya Bush, who went 6-for-8 on her way to 14 points and four steals. Bush is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Parris Parham was another key player, putting up ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Bradwell Institute smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 31 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Woodward Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Creekview on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 42-36 win.

Woodward Academy pushed their record up to 23-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Bradwell Institute, their win bumped their record up to 25-3.
