Softball Recap: Santa Ynez Pirates vs. Carpinteria Warriors

Santa Ynez won the last time they faced Carpinteria and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pirates put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 14-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Maleah Knightley was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
