Softball Recap: South Pointe Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for South Pointe's offense. They lost 17-0 to the A.C. Flora Falcons on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Stallions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

South Pointe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Campbell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

South Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for A.C. Flora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Coming up, South Pointe will challenge Rock Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Pointe has given up an average of 15 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for A.C. Flora, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hillcrest on the 14th.
