Softball Recap: Manistee Takes a Loss

Manistee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-2 to the Pine River Area Bucks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Friday.

Manistee's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Pine River Area, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Manistee will be playing in front of their home fans against Orchard View at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pine River Area, they will take on Mason County Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bucks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 12.5 runs per game this season.
