Fallston came tearing into Friday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Joppatowne Mariners with a sharp 12-2 win. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly ten runs.

Ethan Slicher made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Fallston got a massive performance out of Zach Loewe, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Loewe a new career-high. Reese Conley was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Fallston hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in three consecutive matchups.

Fallston's record now sits at 10-5. As for Joppatowne, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Coming up, Fallston will challenge Bel Air on Saturday. Joppatowne will be paying especially close attention to the Cougars' contest: after the Cougars face off against the Bobcats, they'll take on Joppatowne again at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
