St. John Bosco has won six straight games at home, while Vista Murrieta has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Braves will welcome the Broncos at 3:15 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
If St. John Bosco beats Vista Murrieta with two runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Braves had just enough and edged out Torrance 2-1 last Wednesday.

Trevor Heishman looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on James Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Taguiam, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Vista Murrieta rose to the challenge on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wolverines 8-6.
Dylan Berentis looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, RJ Holmes was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taytum Reeves, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.
Vista Murrieta is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 21 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 23-5-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for St. John Bosco, their win bumped their record up to 23-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. John Bosco has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Vista Murrieta struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
