Recap: Bryson Cowboys vs. Forestburg Longhorns
This season hasn't been kind to the Bryson Cowboys, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They took a hard 37-19 fall against Forestburg on Friday. While losing is never fun, Bryson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1419th, while Forestburg is ranked 688th).
Forestburg found their leader in underclassman Brenna Briles, who scored 16 points along with 8 steals and 6 assists. Briles continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lili Cisneros was another key contributor, scoring 2 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists.
Bryson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Forestburg, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Bryson will be playing at home against Archer City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forestburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Olney at 9:00 a.m. on December 1st. Olney is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
