Volleyball Recap: Upper Cape Cod RVT Comes Up Short

Upper Cape Cod RVT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Shore Vo-Tech Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Upper Cape Cod RVT sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 27-29, 15-5.

Despite the loss, Upper Cape Cod RVT still got an impressive performance from Nigella Johnson, who had 22 digs and five aces. Johnson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Upper Cape Cod RVT's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South Shore Vo-Tech, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
