Basketball Recap: Bobby Perry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeast over Easton Area

Northeast saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 53-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Easton Area Rovers.

Northeast lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Bobby Perry, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 14 points. Perry has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Jonathan Miller was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Easton Area was led to victory by Tyshaun Dunlap and Kameron Jones. Dunlap posted 15 points, while Jones had 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jasir Frutchey, who put up seven points.

Northeast now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Easton Area, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Northeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-49 defeat against Abington on the 28th. As for Easton Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-36 loss against Phillipsburg on the 28th.
