Basketball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs, falling 57-21.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Our Lady of Mercy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monroe will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on January 12, 2026. As for Our Lady of Mercy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Webster Schroeder at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
