Basketball Recap: Tylan Lewis Key Part of a Team Effort in Faith Warriors Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carrollwood Day, Bayshore Christian was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 58-49 win over the Lakeside Christian Lions. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Faith Warriors considering their 23-point performance the contest before.

Bayshore Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tylan Lewis, who posted 24 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Lewis has scored at least a third of Bayshore Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Will Stayte, who had 14 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.

Bayshore Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Lakeside Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-16.

Bayshore Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oasis Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bayshore Christian is facing Oasis Christian at the right time seeing as Oasis Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeside Christian, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Canterbury will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Lakeside Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
