Softball Recap: South Spartans vs. North Stars

In what's become a running theme this season, South gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past the North Stars 17-7. The victory was nothing new for South as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Scarlett Lopez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lopez has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Lopez was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two runs, and a double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaslyn Chavez, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Yoselin Bringas, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
