Baseball Recap: Countryside Christian Falls Short of Oak Hall in the Playoffs

Countryside Christian and Oak Hall squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Countryside Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 16-3. The loss continues a trend for the Minutemen in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.

Hunter Burgess made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

Countryside Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Oak Hall, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

Countryside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Hall, they will challenge Saint Francis Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
