Volleyball Recap: Cypress Springs Comes Up Short

Cypress Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cypress Woods Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-9, 25-9.

Rayne Peavy paced Cypress Springs' offense, picking up six kills. Peavy got some help from Alyssa Suarez and her nine assists.

Cypress Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 11-27. As for Cypress Woods, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Springs will square off against rival Cypress Park at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cypress Woods is set to face off against their familiar foe Cypress Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
