Elk Rapids came tearing into Monday's match with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Kingsley Stags. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Elks have posted since May 3rd.

Haleigh Yocom and Brooke Fluty did most of the damage at the plate: Yocom went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Fluty went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI Yocom has posted since back in April. Jillian Moazeni was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs.

Elk Rapids pushed their record up to 22-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Kingsley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
