Alex Avelar put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs but no hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances.

Avelar's strong effort led Tonopah over Spring Mountain and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
