Volleyball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

After flying high against Sage Creek last Friday, Westview came back down to earth. The Wolverines took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Del Norte Nighthawks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolverines of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Westview started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21.

Del Norte was led to victory by John Lee and Evan Foundos. Lee had five digs and two aces, while Foundos had ten digs and ten assists.

Westview has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Del Norte, their record is now 13-10.

Westview has already played their next match (against Rancho Bernardo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Del Norte also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Bishop's.
