Basketball Recap: Bangs Takes a Loss

Bangs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Hamlin Pied Pipers, falling 53-31.

When it comes to explaining why Bangs lost, don't look at Braxton Wommack. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Bangs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Hamlin was led to victory by Kyson McGee and Luke White. McGee had 15 points, while White put up 15 points. That's the most points White has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Gruben, who posted six points.

Bangs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hamlin, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Benjamin the next time they take the court. Bangs will head out to face Benjamin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hamlin will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
