Canton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brownsboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Canton is taking a road trip to face off against Brownsboro at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Canton's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Canton blew past Lindale 17-3. Considering Canton has won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Rylee Busby made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Canton got a massive performance out of Lily Cervantes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave Cervantes a new career-high. Chloe Howe was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI.
Canton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Brownsboro and Athens had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Brownsboro fell 13-9 to Athens on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.
Like Canton, Brownsboro also got a great game from a two-way player: Cheyenne Cowart. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Cowart was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Arabella Lowrance made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Kynsie Daniels also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Canton has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. Brownsboro's record is now 6-9-2.
Canton took their win against Brownsboro in their previous matchup on March 4th by a conclusive 11-0. Will Canton repeat their success, or does Brownsboro has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
