Baseball Recap: Eastern Hills Comes Up Short

Eastern Hills extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-9. They came up short against the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Highlanders of the 10-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-10. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

For Diamond Hill-Jarvis' part, DEVIN FRANCO made a splash while hitting and pitching. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. FRANCO was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, MILI RIOS was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Diamond Hill-Jarvis: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9 otherwise. DOMINIC DAVIS was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

While Eastern Hills had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
