The Millennium Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the San Luis Sidewinders at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Millennium is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Millennium was handed a eight-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Higley 13-12. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Ireland Melendez, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in triples. Cassie Garza also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Melendez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Millennium kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, San Luis fell victim to Cibola and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Raiders. The Sidewinders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Luis' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Millennium, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
