Baseball Preview: South Charleston Black Eagles vs. St. Joseph Central Irish
The South Charleston Black Eagles will take on the St. Joseph Central Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
South Charleston lost 10-2 to Capital on Monday. The Black Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Central made easy work of Chesapeake on Tuesday and carried off an 11-1 win. Considering the Irish have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Brody Runyon made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Runyon was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

St. Joseph Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chesapeake only posted a batting average of .286.
St. Joseph Central is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for South Charleston, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.
