Mercer County posted their closest win since September 10th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Elmwood Trojans. The win was familiar territory for the Golden Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Mercer County got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-27, 25-18.

Tessa Morrison paced Mercer County's offense, picking up 12 kills. Morrison got some help from Addison Tharp and her 17 assists. Tharp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Mercer County's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Elmwood, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Mercer County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Mendota on the 11th. As for Elmwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Delavan on the 9th.
