Baseball Game Preview: Elder Panthers vs. Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders

Elder hasn't had much luck against Archbishop Moeller recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Fighting Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. The last three games Elder has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Wednesday, Elder didn't have quite enough to beat La Salle and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Moeller put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 10-5 win over La Salle.

Archbishop Moeller's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Elder, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Elder couldn't quite get it done against Archbishop Moeller in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
