Volleyball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Branson Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

While Hillcrest was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-11, 25-23.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19-2. As for Branson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-11-6 record this season.

Hillcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Branson, they will challenge Mt. Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
