Softball Recap: Dwight Comes Up Short

Dwight lost to Marquette back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 11-3 to the Crusaders. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly eight runs.

McKenna Woodcock was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Parker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Dwight and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Marquette, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dwight will take on Serena at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Marquette, they will challenge Somonauk at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
