Softball Recap: Jersey Village Takes a Loss

If Jersey Village was feeling good fresh off their 15-1 takedown of Northbrook last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jersey Village Falcons took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cy-Fair Bobcats on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Camdyn Brown and Jordyn Battise did some serious damage despite the final result: Brown went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run, while Battise scored a run and stole two bases. Battise is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stole at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Rosales, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Jersey Village's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cy-Fair, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Jersey Village will square off against Klein at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Klein's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Jersey Village's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Cy-Fair, they will take on Cypress Ranch at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
