Basketball Recap: Port Washington Vikings vs. St. Anthony's Friars

After flying high against Chaminade back in December of 2024, Port Washington came back down to earth. 2025 welcomed the Port Washington Vikings with a 60-39 loss courtesy of the St. Anthony's Friars on Saturday.

Nicolas Vieux had an outrageously good game for St. Anthony's as he went 7 of 9 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Vieux is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kevin Moore, who posted ten points.

Port Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for St. Anthony's, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Port Washington will look to defend their home court on Friday against Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. As for St. Anthony's, they will head out to challenge St. Dominic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Anthony's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.4 points per game this season.
