Soccer Game Preview: South-Doyle vs. Gatlinburg-Pittman

The South-Doyle Cherokees will challenge the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

South-Doyle is headed into the game having not lost since March 6 and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Sevier County could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. South-Doyle's defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Meanwhile, Gatlinburg-Pittman entered their tilt with May River on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Sharks.

Gatlinburg-Pittman's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those four matchups. With that draw, South-Doyle's record moves to 11-1-3.
