While Pinecrest Academy's win against Harvester Christian Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Paladins narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hawks 44-42. The win continues a trend for the Paladins in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Harvester Christian Academy lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aubrey Young, who threw for 56 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 64 yards. Harvester Christian Academy also got a significant boost from Jed Yarnall, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Pinecrest Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Harvester Christian Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Pinecrest Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The game will give the Paladins their first taste of in-conference action this season.
