Softball Game Preview: Eastern Hills Highlanders vs. Benbrook Bobcats

Eastern Hills is 0-9 against Benbrook since March of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Highlanders will welcome the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Hills has given up an average of 17.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastern Hills and Western Hills faced off in a cross-town battle on Friday. The Highlanders came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, Benbrook had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 21-3 victory. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Madison Canada was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February. Esparanza Garza was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Benbrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. Their OBP was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .529 that Western Hills posted.

Benbrook's win bumped their record up to 15-11. As for Eastern Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
