Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brindlee Mountain). They were the clear victors by a 23-3 margin over the Asbury Rams on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Alli Persle made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Persle was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Brindlee Mountain got a massive performance out of Kaylie Mashburn, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI Mashburn has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Persle, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Brindlee Mountain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .811. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Brindlee Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Asbury, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-15.

Looking ahead, Brindlee Mountain will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph School at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Asbury, they will welcome Sylvania at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
