Baseball Game Preview: Hannan Wildcats vs. Hundred Hornets

The Hannan Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Hundred Hornets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hundred took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hannan, who comes in off a win.

Hannan's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Tri-State HomeSchool with a sharp 9-0 victory. The game marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season.

Ian Chaffin was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Braden Collins was excellent, earning two runs and three stolen bases. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. KJ Price also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Hundred might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 26-1 to Cameron, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hannan's record now sits at 5-14. As for Hundred, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
