Volleyball Recap: Evansville Christian Has No Trouble Against Mt. Vernon

Evansville Christian won the last time they faced Mt. Vernon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles blew past the Wildcats 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Evansville Christian was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-9.

Ainsley Shouse paced Evansville Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Shouse got some help from Allie Foreman and her 14 assists. Shouse also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ellie Wampler, racking up two apiece.

Evansville Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evansville Christian will take on Evansville Bosse at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will square off against Wood Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
