Baseball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Central and West County, and West County kept the tradition alive. The Rebels fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in March.

Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for West County, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-2-1.

Central and West County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Rebels see the field they'll take on Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th. As for West County, their break will end when they face Marquand-Zion at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th.
